There is no any forum, organisation of librarians in the country which can raise the right demands before the Govt. The librarians are totally dependent on Teachers' Unions and these unions are not looking helpful as the old methods of Dharna- Pradarshan is not much impressive to put the Govt under pressure.
You may join this organisation provided you can spare your time for welfare of other librarians too.
You may be allowed if you are ready to be a leader of librarians and not only as a member. We had a lot of membership requests from all over country. But we allow a person in this organisation only if he has capability to be a FLAG-BEARER.....and certainly not only a member.
