Why we Railway School Teachers are not getting next grade after 10 years

An ordinary central govt.employee is entitled to get next grade after 10 years of his service if he/she didn\'t get any promotion during the past 10 years, but, a teacher will get this \'next grade\' after 12 years---why ? This is being told to us in railways. A huge delay or loss of two years to teahers. Pl throw some light on this gross injustice to teachers. This is being applied to all the central govt. teahers & not only to rly. teachers. Thanks.

As per the enactments made in the 6th CPC, Teachers, Nurse and some other grade were supposed to get a special benefits. If this is to be believed then why teachers category were kept set aside in ACR i,e. 12 years instead of 10 years notwithstanding the fact that we Rly. school teachers promotion perspective is very marginal. If sources are to be believed meetings will be convened in March 2010 for sorting out the anomalies of 6th CPC. A strong representation of our case needs to be made addressed in the proper place. Besides, nobody has came out with justified interpretation irrespective of our repeated queries.

Respected Mr Majumdar,

Here we would like to comment on the following words only

" A strong represen.....nobody has come out....."

We usually get such letters from teachers who want others to come forward to solve all their problems, but never take interest in organisational development of any teacher union by devoting time and money.

In our country, every body wants Bhagat Singh, Khudiram Bose and Chandrashekhar Azad in the family of others but not in his own.

Dear Sir,
Andheron ko kosne se achchha hai, aao ek diyaa jalayen...
