My colleagues who joined on the same date and are still working as prt are drawing a higher salary.

I\'m working as a T.G.T in DAV School. My pay scale &basic on Jan 06 was (5500-175-9000),5675.NEW PAY BAND given was 9300-34800 and basic as 15160. I joined in 07/96 as prt and got promoted in july 04. My colleagues who joined on the same date and are still working as prt are drawing a higher salary. Please tell me what to do?
