I have been working in Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti Since 2001 Sept. in the scale of 5500 - 175 - 9000. Since they are providing rent free quartres, other than DA, they are not providing any allowances. I request you to kindly send me the details of my salary and arrears.

Respected Nagesh,
Since Navodaya Schools are residential schools and they are providing rent free accomodation, therefore you are not entitled for HRA. Yet you all may demand a family quarter fit for group B - non gazetted employee and the organisation may not cheat you with a single bed bachelor accomaodation in hostels.
The TA was also not paid to you because you were residing in the campus. But now the 6 cpc has lifted the ban on campus restrictions and now you will get a TA equal to 1600 whether you are residing in campus or not, availing the staff transport or not.
DA is same like other central Govt employees.
Your salary will be first fixed according to the tables on page 'DOWNLOAD'. But the anomaly with juniors will be removed later.Yet the 6cpc has recommended some special allowances for teachers in residential schools but the compensation packages are not decided upto now.
