I want to know that is there any time limit for disposing the APPEAL which is pending with the APPEALATE AUTHORITY since last 16 months, the APPEAL has been filed against a punishment order issued by the DISCIPLINARY AUTHORITY.Thank you

Thanks for the mail.
Is your appeal filed under RTI or pending before any officer of your deptt under general communication, please make it clear.
If the appeal is filed under RTI then you will be given 90 days from the date of filing of the first appeal before the first appellate authority or 90 days after the decision he states.
If the deptt proceedings are pending then take help of RTI to move the file faster.
